I'm a photographer based in Guildford, Surrey specialising in evocative images of horses and landscapes. In my equine work my inspiration comes from the majestic Lusitanos of Portugal, Spain's gorgeous Pura Raza Españolas, the ranch horses of the United States and the white horses of the Camargue in France.

I also enjoy creating abstract and impressionistic landscapes and am inspired by the colours and the constantly shifting focus of the sea and from my travels.

My equine images are available to buy at Treacle Gallery in Shere, Surrey - www.treacleshere.co.uk - and at Joie de Vivre - https://www.facebook.com/Joiedevivregallery - and through this website. Please contact me if you'd like to buy any of the images from the galleries. You can email me at photographybylisamardell@gmail.com or phone 07545 577807.

Over the last few years, my work has appeared in photographic and travel magazines, including Sunday Times Travel, Wanderlust, the Telegraph travel website, Practical Photography and Outdoor Photography, as well as in brochures for Canon cameras to illustrate their lenses. I've also been teaching equine photography as a tutor for Lacock Photography School in Wiltshire.

I have twice been shortlisted for the Wanderlust Travel Photographer of the Year award. Other achievements include two images shortlisted for the Outdoor Photographer of the Year 2015, second place in Digital Photographer magazine's Action Photographer of the Year competition and a finalist place in the Scottish Nature Photography Awards two years in a row. I have also won a gold award for one of my colour prints of the horses of the Camargue from the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain.
